The USDA is holding it’s 98th annual agricultural outlook forum today and tomorrow. Attendees can log in online to attend the event. The agenda has two full days of updates from speakers around the ag industry.
Secretary Vilsack gave the keynote address this morning covering a wide range of topics geared toward helping farmers and small producers better compete in the marketplace. He also talked about millions being invested in local agricultural systems to help achieve many of the goals set out to bolster the local food systems.
The forum will later cover the outlook on food prices as well as a US global agricultural trade outlook. The event will cover today and tomorrow with a wide array of topics concerning agriculture in the US.
